Writer's Block: True Crime

Today is the anniversary of the death of Elizabeth Short, also known as the Black Dahlia. What real-life murder story are you most fascinated by?
Aside from Ira Yarmolenko, it would probably be the murders of Kevin Ives and Don Henry , also known as "The Boys On The Tracks" in 1987.
They were called that because their bodies were found on some railroad tracks in Arkansas. Ives and Henry were usually on the "Clinton Body Count Lists" that circulated on the internet.

I personally don't believe Clinton killed them. I do believe that malfeasance and corruption in his administration hindered the investigation. In particular, the incompetent medical examiner he hired, Fahmy Malak, severely retarded the investigation.

There are lots of theories about how these boys died, some of them nutty, some of them plausible. A lot of them involve CIA drug running.
The problem is there was enough corruption in Arkansas at the time to make the theories believable, and enough incompetence in the investigation to make it difficult to refute them.

The Boys On The Tracks, an  excellent book about  this case  was released several years ago. I read it and it was very objective and balanced. One of the more underrated true crime books.
