This Week's Southpark (Episode 3, Season 13)

After a very disappointing, lackluster 12th season, Matt Stone and Trey Parker finally have their game back. Wednesday night's episode, about the economic crisis, was the best in a long long time. It was the kind of deep insight cleverly disguised as raunchy comedy Stone & Parker do brilliantly when they are at their best.

This episode managed to combine a retelling of the gospel story, a hilarious speculation about how the treasury department REALLY makes policy (I won't give too much away, but it reminded me of the manatees on the Family Guy episode, only funnier) and a truly poignant commentary on what we're doing to our kids with all the federal debt we're piling up. And a brilliant surprise ending. And it did it  all seamlessly.
