Car stuff

I got my oil changed the other day. I have been having a problem with the oil pressure getting too low, and had been doing some research on it on the internet. One solution I have seen suggested is using a heavier oil, so I asked the guy at the service station to try that.

He used 15w/40, which is often used in diesel trucks. That is a really heavy, manly oil, and I feel very manly having it in my car.

It did indeed help my oil pressure. The oil meter got 3/4 of the way up, something I haven't seen in eons. The car is a little hesitant on starting, but that is better than a blown engine.

So I am getting both my oil AND blood pressure under control. Of course, before I had done anything about either of them, my blood pressure was too high and my oil pressure was too low, so on average they were just fine. But I don't think it works that day

They guy who runs the service station had a car I had been thinking about buying. It was a 2000 Chrysler Concorde he was selling for $5000. I found out that he had sold it. This sent me into an emotional tailspin.

OK, maybe not an emotional tailspin, but I was disappointed. I said emotional tailspin because it is so damn hard to spice up a blog entry about car maintenance.
