Poetry Reading After Action Report 8/13/2009

There was a good turnout at the poetry reading last night. In fact, the coffee shop would have been deserted if there hadn't been a poetry reading.

I had three memorial haiku, which I include below.

John Hughes

You’ll grow no older
Fitting for a man whose films
Kept us all younger

Walter Cronkite

We wish you alive
But the truth is you are not
That’s the way it is

Les Paul
Now that you've arrived
Will heaven have electric
Solid-bodied harps?

I really like this month's haiku. Sorry it has taken me so long to read them. Since I have class on Thursday nights until 7:30, I might actually make it to a few Poetry Nights this semester.
